Warranty
Warranty Policy
At SAV Consumer Goods, every washing machine and dryer we sell is backed by two layers of protection: the manufacturer's official warranty and the implied warranty guaranteed to you by Philippine law. Understanding both helps you shop with complete confidence.
Manufacturer's Official Warranty
Each product listed on savconsumergoods.com carries the manufacturer's own warranty. The exact warranty period — whether one year, two years, or longer — is stated clearly on the individual product page. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that arise under normal, intended use. Should a covered defect occur within the stated period, we will arrange free repair, a replacement unit, or a full refund on your behalf, depending on the circumstances and the manufacturer's applicable policy.
Implied Warranty Under Philippine Law
Separate from and in addition to the manufacturer's warranty, your purchase is protected by the implied warranty provisions of the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394) and the relevant provisions of the Civil Code of the Philippines. These statutory warranties cannot be waived or taken away from you. Under RA 7394, sellers and manufacturers are liable when a product fails to perform as a reasonable consumer would expect, even in the absence of a written warranty document. These protections apply from the moment you receive your appliance.
How to File a Warranty Claim
Filing a warranty claim is straightforward. You do not need to contact the brand service centre directly — we handle the coordination for you. To begin a claim, please take the following steps:
- Contact us within the applicable warranty period by emailing info@savconsumergoods.com or by submitting a request through the contact form on our website.
- Provide your order number, a description of the defect or issue, and clear photographs or a short video if possible.
- Our customer service team — available Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM — will review your report and acknowledge it promptly.
- We will liaise with the authorised brand service centre on your behalf and keep you informed at every step.
- If assessment confirms a covered defect, we will arrange repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you, including free pickup where collection of the unit is required.
What Is Not Covered
Certain situations fall outside the scope of both the manufacturer's warranty and the statutory implied warranty. Coverage does not extend to:
- Misuse or improper operation — damage caused by using the appliance in a manner inconsistent with the manufacturer's instructions or specifications.
- Unauthorised repairs or modifications — any servicing, repair, or alteration carried out by a technician or party not authorised by the manufacturer.
- Physical damage resulting from accidents, negligence, or external causes such as flooding, power surges, or fire, which are not attributable to a manufacturing defect.
- Normal wear and tear arising from ordinary use over time.
If you are uncertain whether your situation is covered, do not attempt any repair yourself. Contact us first so that our team can properly assess your concern.
